Ten years ago, I wondered on to this forum to inquire about tailgating for my first UNT game ever, the ever vaunted Todd Dodge leading the UNT Mean Green against the Tulsa Golden Shower Hurricanes.

They absolutely crushed us. I recall the Tulsa quarterback climbing up into the stands to direct the Tulsa band during the game.

I asked if we had ever won one of our body bag games and got the usual references to the 21-14 victory over Tennessee in 1975 and the near miss (home cookin' refs) at Texas in 1988.

For ten years, I never thought I'd witness this.

And now I have.

We went into Arkansas and OUR subs gave up a late touchdown to make the score look a little less dominating. WE were the team "going through the motions*" just wanting to the clock to run out and the game to end. To beat them is one thing, but we did to them what most of the P5 schools have done to us over the past several years. IT IS GREATNESS!!!!!

*I don't think we ever stopped playing hard, just using the term to indicate that nothing we did in the 4th quarter was really going to effect the outcome of the game.
