If they do not have an indoor practice facility they sure are not going to be practicing outside, they could be hindered in their preparation.

Sounds to me like they actually have 2 days to prepare for a hurricane-force winds.
Then, they can begin preparing for the Hurricane-force UNT offense.

Lynchburg has already issued a state of emergency prior to the hurricane.  Indoor/outdoor facilities won't matter as they will probably be evacuated.

2 thoughts on this:

1.)I hope they are far enough inland where the storm is not a factor on their campus

B.) on a positive note, one of their DL, Austin Lewis, is now going to miss the first half of our game due to a targeting penalty against Army. (the punter committed his targeting penalty in the first qtr, so he'll be back.

They are roughly 190 miles from the coast but if this hits as a Cat 5 they could still have issues. Probably more of a threat to be flooded or have tornadoes that spawn off of hurricanes.

Their big time, probable NFL pick, WR has a cast on right now and this just gives him one more week to heal.

is he currently playing with the cast on?

if not, he would be resting regardless... i also doubt he is playing right now if there is that much chance to re-injure the arm

Pretty sure it's OK to talk about an opponent we play in two weeks, especially one that is getting this week off to prepare for us.

Yes, Lynchburg is about two hours north of Durham and the most they should get are some heavy rains and high winds. It should not be too bad there. We are expecting the same, only more-so.

That seems like a very nice IPF.  It will be a low grade Tropical Storm by then, they'll still be on campus practicing most likely.

Wishing the best for their community's safety during a scary time.  Let's hope they're spared the worst case scenario.

We faced a Lamar squad going through Harvey restoration last season after they experienced the worst case scenario and the program made me incredibly proud as they handled things with class and understanding while also using the game to help raise support for the recovery efforts (https://www.unt.edu/notices/help-hurricane-harvey-survivors-unt-vs-lamar-football-game-sept-2).

I think we'd all rather our young men head to Lynchburg to face a team coming off an excessively precautionary bye week than a region facing what Lamar had to last year.
