Will the 400 Member UNT Green Brigade Marching Band Go To Arkansas?

What was the Arkansas game ticket allotment for UNT?  I hear it was sold out...is that true?

They might send a "pep band" of 75 or so - that's what they've sent to games at Rice.  @Christopher Walker might know.

The band needs to be there. At least a part of it. If we want to be big time, we need to look big time. That just doesn't mean a large contingent of green in attendance but a good lively band as well.

I tired to purchase tickets this afternoon through ticket office. They informed me that they were indeed sold out. I had to purchase through Arkansas ticket office. I was still able to sit in the visitor section.

I wonder if it was sold out or it was past the deadline to return unsold tickets, since you were able to by from UA in that section.

Band is not going. Just asked SA on twitter. Talons, cheer squad and Scrappy are going. Womp womp. It's not a UNT game without the green brigade.

That means you travel your band... the whole band!!

Then just a 50 member pep band. We're 4 1/2 hours away and can't bring any band? Just seems small time.

I'm surprised not even a subset of the band is traveling considering they already have busses to bring students to the game.

No. Either bring the entire band or none at all. A pep band really looks small time.

It is cost. The band usually makes one road trip a year.

this is ridiculous. i wanted our band to be in fayetteville, not that far away and would have been a lot of fun in a big time setting. this is a major fail if true that they are not going.

I was in the band when we went to Waco, Norman and Austin.

 

my guess is it’s a budget thing. Maybe one day alumni donations/involvement will be big enough to go to all games. I have no idea if the OSUs, USCs, and UTs of the world take their bands to every game.
