6) Bryce English will be an impact player.  He didn’t get through much in the SMU game but he swallowed up linemen and allowed the other defenders to get home.

...

His presence is a huge reason why Ejiya & Garner looked so good.

Him, Taoaalo, & Young were commanding double teams all night.

Couldn’t agree more! Our dline has some mass and are plugging those holes so the LB’s are more free. D-line were incredible

10) Our receivers did an excellent job of breaking tackles and turning shorter catches into big gains.  They have clearly been working in the off-season.  I just hope that we find ways to connect on some of the longer throws.  We tried at least twice to hit deep balls and they were either a little overthrown or the receiver had two defenders on him.  Teams like Arky, FAU, and La Tech will be better at tackling and drives could stall out if we can’t force the safeties back.

Early in the game SMU did a great job of limiting our yards after catch.  It really wasn't until the later half of the second period that we started getting some space.

I watched some of the replay this morning.  Apogee was insanely loud. The pick 6 really sounded like a sold out P5 stadium. Even the kick return for a TD at the end of the game, sounded like a packed house.
