I found this on twitter and thought it was interesting.  A player announces his commitment to UTEP, and after thanking all of the coaches etc, he goes on to add, "MY RECRUITMENT IS OPEN TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!"

Not a reflection on them.  If anything, they're frustrated and forced to continue to recruit the position.

Kind of pointless to commit. Wish the coaches could come out and say that if someone better than him at his position  commits then his offer is rescinded.

We currently have a highly-regarded Running Back committed who said virtually the same thing upon his commitment.

And I'm about 95% sure that if we didn't have his HS QB on our roster, he wouldn't have even considered us.
