The Power Conferemces will break away before they allow a G5 of any kind to get a chance at the Playoff system.

Boise State ruined that dream when they beat OU in the Fiesta Bowl. The Power Leagues want nothing to do with playing any of them any more than they already do, which is basically in the weakest Big Bowl game.

Boise, undefeated, pre-Pac12 Utah, Rose Bowl TCU and now UCF are a threat to their existence.  Utah and TCU successfully leveraged their success into invites to the big boys table.  Boise, UCF, and the school that started it all -- 1984 BYU, get left out in the cold scrambling for crumbs.
