Common themes:  Drugs, gangs, social media, gun control, and (in London at least) "knife control".  Knives with blades over 3" are illegal to carry.  Apparently not an effective deterrent.

And yet nowhere in that long article discussing violent crime in London does anyone suggest the solution is to increase the number of guns on London's streets.

You actually think someone from the New York Times would report/discuss/suggest that someone else should protect themself with a gun?
