At the moment, Verbal Commits shows that we still have 3 active prospects with offers that have not committed elsewhere.  One of the prospects, Marvin Cannon, was just offered yesterday.

Tremell Murphy (JUCO) 2 years remaining

Marvin Cannon (JUCO) 3 years remaining

Tyrus Johnson (HS)

With Fuller's departure we now have at least 2 spots to fill.  I hope McCasland is confident he can close the deal with 2 of the 3 or has some additional guys that we don't know about yet.

Now with Lawson's departure, it appears we have room for all three of these young men.

Update: Tremell Murphy just received an offer from Oregon.

What happened with Lawson ?  Bigger school/conference offer ?

It seems that as a Benford recruit he wasn't a good fit for this offense.  He probably wants to go somewhere he'll get more playing time.

If a bigger school offered, it would have been while he was still a scholarship player here and would be a huge NCAA violation. Guessing it was the above.

I wonder if we offered the brother?

It appears Drake was the only one.  From what I could find, we didn't, nor did Oregon and some of his other "bigger" offers.

So, if we don't see a couple of HS or underclassmen signed soon, I wonder if McCasland will fill up the roster with grad transfers for next year so the scholarships are available for the next class.

I was expecting a little more activity that what we have seen so far.  Not hearing much about visits or offers.  I am sure there is plenty going on, but he seems to be in full stealth recruiting mode at the moment.

Saw this in today's update on The Athletic's Transfer Tracker...

Anthony Tarke, F, NJIT: Tarke tells The Fieldhouse that he plans to visit South Alabama on Friday. He’s also considering St. Bonaventure, San Diego State, South Florida, UTEP, Texas Tech, North Texas, Cincinnati, UNC-Greensboro and Louisiana-Lafayette, but he has yet to schedule any other visits. Tarke, a 6-6 sophomore wing, averaged 15.1 points and 6.0 rebounds in 2017-18.

Looks like Kansas State may also be in pursuit but had been scouring their tracker to see any mention of NT.  Hadn't heard his name mentioned before.

K State has an in-home visit for him.  https://247sports.com/college/kansas-state/Article/Kansas-State-basketball-recruiting-Anthony-Tarke-has-set-up-an-in-home-visit-with-the-Wildcats-and-is-working-on-a-visit-to-K-State-117250956

Scouts shows him as a 1-star recruit. He must of had a heck of season at NJIT (signed in 2016) to receive all this attention, including from a power program like Kansas State.
