Where were you?

Where were all the GMGer's last night? It was just me, Wink, Brooklyn, Gak, UNT23, and Micah. When I got there right before the game there was nobody in our section! It was really pathetic guys. We need everyone there next game to keep it loud. Even our cheerleader poster, COGreen, wasn't there tonight. (There were two girl cheerleaders, no guys, and Scrappy WAS there this time). The more people we get up there the better. Wink's little brother got a sad introduction to MeanGreen Basketball tonight and that was really disappointing. Although we did win, the spirited atmosphere we usually bring was really lacking by most of us not being there. Sorry for ya'll that had to work, I'm not trying to give you grief, but where was everyone else?

There weren't very many students there period, maybe 40 students made it to the game, excluding the pep band.

But the funny thing was that some of the NMSU fans that came to the mens game a month ago were back last night. And one brought his NM St. flag, which he had hung from the railing in front of their section. But last night, the event staff made him take it down, well it was more like they took it down for him.

I really wish I could have been there, but I was back home w/ my little bro who got his wisdom teeth out this weekend. We really should have beat NM St. We are a much better team than we have been playing like the last 4-5 games....

I think one of the best parts of the game was when they gave NM State a technical foul for their coach on the court. It kinda sucked when the did the same thing to us though.

Uh, the men played in Las Cruces and got beat. The women were at home last night.

Let's make a big push for the Mean Green this thursday. Everyone try their hardest to go. I would HATE to have another crowd like we had on Saturday because as much as I hate it, I know how much of a disapointment it is when a team doesn't feel much support from their own fans.

What did you expect at a women's game? The truth is that except for extreme exceptions (Conn., Tenn., Duke) women's games are usually sparsely attended. The reasons are many, some have good foundations and others don't but that's just the way it is.

I think a bigger crowd on Thursday is a safe bet considering it is the men at home. Like Zeke once said while leaving a women's game, "I would rather hear a dunk on the radio."
