Rhule doesn't coach at "another place" that has a "sexual harassment" problem.  He coaches at Baylor that has a history of systematically discrediting and pressuring rape accusers in collaboration with local law enforcement.   That is a Baylor problem, he knew it when he signed up for the job.

If he had said something like "this is a problem that we at Baylor are going to work harder than anyone else to solve" that would 1) acknowledge the past issues, 2) put forth the proposition that his new regime isn't the old one.

Instead he is minimizing the previous problem, exactly what got Baylor into this situation in the first place.

This IS a Baylor problem.  It's not a NT problem.  It's not a Texas Tech problem.  It's not a USC problem.  It's not a any other school in the nation  (except Penn State) problem.  This happened at Baylor.  Owning up to what happened is the first step in making things better.

I think your reading waaaaay too much into that statement, but whatever.  It(Sexual Harrassment..not covering up sexual harassment) happens at other places...which is all Rhule was saying.

A simple Bing search under "College Football Sexual Harrassment".

I don't know how we are mis-communicating here Rick.   None of those examples are what happened at Baylor.  None of those have the administration coordinating with local police to cover up accusations and suppress accusers.

So yes, sexual harassment happens at many places.  What happened at Baylor isn't that.  It's much more.

So no, I don't agree with what Rhule is saying.  He is saying "what happened at Baylor is the same think that happens at other places."  And no, I don't of any other AD where the specifics of Baylor happened, except for possibly Penn State.

We're mis-communicating because your reading one thing from an interview and I'm reading another.

Unless I've missed something:

He was asked about football players sexually harassing/committing violence at Baylor, to which he responded to.

He was NOT asked about football players sexually harassing/committing violence at Baylor then the acts being covered up.

How stupid would he be for to get asked about a past cover up of a crime.........and claim cover ups happen all over the country.

I'm just not reading that as his intention in answering the interviewers questions.

Maybe your right though, in that he shouldn't have said a word about other places, and just have strictly focused on his players only?  I can see how that can be taken as a negative.

Yeah, that is where I think he made a mistake.  Because other places != Baylor.

It like if you had two kids and sweet, sweet, vintage Mustang.  One of the kids finger paints on their bedroom wall, the other kids decides to finger paint on the Mustang's interior.

The second kid claiming this isn't a them problem, it is a societal finger painting issues, isn't improving the situation.  In fact, it makes it seem like they consider both problems to be equal.  When obviously only one of them is going to get kicked out of the will.
