Big question, did ryan piss off the jacksonville fans? anyone else notice one of the big differences between this team and Benford's teams. We can now handle the full court press.

WKY beats OSU, after beating USC on Monday, both on the road. Makes us CUSA folks look and feel good.

CUSA is now 9-2 in post season tournaments. We still hold a chance to run the table in all 3 post season tournaments that aren’t the big dance. 

 

Im hoping the selection committee is watching and will make a wiser decision next year. This conference deserved two bids.

On the ESPN3 broadcasts tonight? Those were our people doing the game. (John Liddle, who usually does NT women's BB, on play by play). Not sure why he would have different info than the men's broadcast crew and Dr. Smatresk.

Would assume it’s announced during the game tonite, but I would  assume attendance likely has some influence on who gets home court. Let’s hope our home game attendance is better than whoever is paying since CBI gets the revenue.

I love the fact that I could now care less about the NCAA tourney. As far as I am concerned, the CBI is superior to all others at this point.

If San Francisco wins, and gets to be the double host maybe I can convince my girlfriend to spend a few days up in the Bay area and see the game(s).

JSU led for 00:00. NT led for 39:53. Game was tied for 00:07

 

 

 

I mean we knew it was domination, but that really shows it in black and white.

In theory, you would be correct. But I have a feeling things will only continue to get worse for mid-major schools and the NCAAs. All about the big $$$ schools unfortunately. Undoubtedly though, C-USA has some quality basketball programs and deserves more recognition from the committee.

One thing I will say is this: Jacksonville State really lost their composure early, and they seemed rattled by the fans more than any team I've seen. #0 specifically kept chirping with the students all game. Similar to his jersey number, he ironically finished the game scoreless.

It was a truly great atmosphere in the Pit tonight. Fans were loud and into the game throughout. You can tell that Rose and Duffy are feeding off of that energy and playing loose. 

Anyone in attendance these past two games will definitely want to come back.

      The Band

      I personally think that the playing music over the PA at times when the band would typically be playing has negatively impacted the cadence for when and how the band plays during the games. I don't want to be all old man about it, but if I want to listen to the stuff that is played on the PA system (majority of which I actually do like), I have about 10 different devices I can play that on myself. When I go to a college football game, I want to hear the friggin' band play during timeouts and between plays, when appropriate. It's college football, not an NBA game. When I look back at attending games at Fouts as a student in the 90s', I absolutely remember the band playing, and I enjoyed it then just as I do now. If they were playing other music, maybe they were, but I would have no memory of that whatsoever. Additionally, I know there has been some other negative thoughts about the band overall, and not that I have been in band since I played trumpet as a sophomore in high school so I am no expert, but I was absolutely blown away by the halftime performance this week. I know majority of it was a rehash of other bits and pieces that had already been done this year, but damn that was a strong close.
