Kermit Davis is out at Middle Tenn...signed on to try to revive the Ole Miss program.

Will Middle stay Middle or will we see a fall? I think Middle will find a new coach that keeps them in the top of CUSA. But, you never know. We shall see.

The past 9 years have definitely been pretty good.  7 of last 9 his team has either won the regular season conference championship, conference tournament, or both.  However, his first 7 years looked a lot like JJ's first several years at UNT.  MTSU will graduate 3 of their top 5 scorers this year.

They will need to hire well in order to keep the momentum.  Hopefully, they will hire a proven recruiter from an Eastern conference and give him a chance to be a head coach.

According to MTSU posts that I have seen Davis intends to finish the NIT before moving on.

You have to respect Hermit for staying on through the NIT. Benford would never, ever have done that for UNT.

Benford could have coached here for 20 more years and he would have never had the OPPORTUNITY to do so.
