We had some reps from the Athletic Department speak at my Kiwanis Club this morning (W).  When asked when we could expect baseball, they said 10 years.  Put the tarp on the field.

Wrestling with getting a baseball program going just got more painful.

It was asked of Wren at the Collin County Coaches Caravan last night. He gave a non committal "we're looking at it carefully" type of answer.

It was also mentioned at the Rockwall event and Wren's answer was that it would be after the buildup of football and basketball.

I think that it's smart to not divide up your revenue until the two biggest revenue producers have what it takes to succeed.  I'd think that would be perhaps three years down the road.  Let's just hope that Lovelace's donation offer hasn't dried up by then.

I agree completely on this. We have a hard enough time making money on football and basketball--we don't need another drain on these sports, which baseball would be to start with. Get the three revenue sports right and baseball will be a nice compliment then.
