Down 11 in the third quarter to 3-17 UTSA. What is going on with this team? They went 8-8 in conference last year. This would drop them to 2-7 and out of the conference tournament if it started today.

The OOC slate wasn't a bunch of powerhouses but still looked decent going 9-3.

Season started out good, but Jalie is missing a season where her team does well in conference. 2017/18 so far feels like stagnation at a mediocre level. Wonder if WB is starting to think about a change in direction. If not, then next season definitely needs to show a consistent movement in the right direction.

The game against FIU this Thursday is close to a must win. I was counting this game against UTSA as a win before it happened. Now we lost the Tiebreak against UTSA so down to 13th place and no spot in the tournament.

I don't believe we have missed the tournament in a very long time.

I think you have to give Jalie a pass on this season due to all the injuries.   This team didn't seem to ever quit, but lately they just look lost.  Holmes has really dropped off after her injury.

What injury?

The team has lost 5 players to injuries that have not played a minute this year.

You said Holmes suffered some sort of an injury. What injury are you referring to?

Injured against UIC. I believe she only missed the eastern Illinois game but I agree she's seemed a little different.

Im all for giving her the benefit of the doubt given the plague of injuries over the summer. Concerned about the difference of play from fall to spring though. This team should win at least 3 of the last 7 and if the tiebreaks fall right that should be good enough. Have to have the win and tiebreak over FIU next Thursday though.

She was out a couple of games with some type of leg injury suffered on the Illinois trip.

I believe she sprained an ankle.

The sad thing about this game is that North Texas lost a game to UTSA,,,,,,something that hasn't happened in any sport in about 15 or 16 months. The last time UTSA had beaten North Texas at ANYTHING was in football way back in October  2016.
