Where did you hear that? From what I have heard this has been in the works well before any tax law changed.

You will no longer be able to purchase tickets or access to tkts through the guise of a non profit club which shows it as a donation. The donation will be separate from tkt purchases. You will not be able to write off 50% of the suite. There will also be other changes based off the new tax law changes.

The Donation has always been separate of the ticket purchase.

Let me know if the tax form UNT sends includes your ticket prices or just the MGC donation......

MGC shows as a donation. MGC help to keep tkt prices cheap. They will figure out another angle!

I got a phone call from the athletics department this morning talking about this change.  Seems like a reasonable price considering the product that was put on the field this year.  If they can continue to put a respectable product on the field, I will have no issues continuing to pay for it.

Some people would not join a Club that would accept them as a member (ex. W.C. Fields).

I am sure they will feel much better contributing to a Scholarship Fund.

I'm just briefly glancing at this, but if there are still required donation levels to this new scholarship fund, I don't know how that would circumvent the new tax code.  I'll come back in a few hours and somebody can update me on why this change significantly affects their lives and maybe even show me the consideration to link me to a youtube instructional video on how to properly gnash teeth and rend garments.

Those are now vintage, no need to throw them away.

You are correct sir.  Maybe even collectors item, like my booger bobble head, or signed Benford basketball.  I knew I was making a mistake letting my nephew actually play with that ball.....

I mean, I'd probably pay pretty good money to kick your Todd Dodge football.

No, that seems like a sound decision. It is probably more valuable as an actual basketball.

I’ll tell you why it affects me.  My license plate holder is no longer valid.  I have to throw away two sweatshirts, and everything mandarino worked so hard to build from the ground up just got axed in one swift obviously knee jerk decision.  Plus, it’s one of the few clubs I actually belong to.  What now?  Rotary? Kiwanananasasas? Junior league?  I have no direction.

Maybe a Glee club?
