Thought I would start a thread with who we think are the best Super Bowl performers ever.

I will start it off with Joe Montana. Four Super Bowls, four wins, three MVPs, 11 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. That's as clutch as you can possibly be.

So who else should we add to this distinction?

Man that is a good question. I will be a politician and not answer it directly.

Aikman never made any huge crucial mistakes in the big game. That can mean the difference between winning and losing.

If you are gonna mention Montana, then I suppose you gotta mention Rice.

My controversial HSO: While obviously not in the "Best Super Bowl Players of All Time", the Buffalo Bills were about as close as you can come to dynasty. Getting their as many times as they did should not be overlooked.

The Bills still never won though, so as a Best of the Super Bowl they should not be considered, maybe best of the playoffs though...

I am going to have to give my props to Jake tonight! If he can keep this up I can see him as a top all time player. Remember the NE D made Payton (who was on a roll) look like Quincy and Jake, minus the fumble, took apart their secondary.

Here's some players to consider:

Emmitt Smith 30 points in 3 games (2nd most all time to Rice)

Roger Craig and Terrell Davis each had 18 points in one game (so did Watters, but that game was over at halftime)

Timmy Smith 204 yards rushing in one game

Marcus Allen 191 yards, 9.1 average (thanks to a 74 yard run, the SBs longest)

Troy Aikman 70% completions (highest in history)

Kurt Warner has the two highest yardage games in history with 414 and 365 yards
