Yeah I'm here with my parents who are NMSU alum when they went 50 yrs ago. Fun game so far..weather awesome 😎

Still kind of are. They have no conference home. Sunbelt voted them and Idaho out. Sad for that program.

Makes perfect sense to me.

If they are in a conference with NMSU they become part of the conference schedule and they then have to find non-conference opponents to replace them in football, men's basketball, women's basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Not a lot of schools are willing to go home and home with UTEP across all sports because the travel is no fun for much of anyone.

Lets hope this is another good example for Bowls and the powers that schedule the teams into places. Lets hope they take the lesson to heart that it is better to get an excited, close by G5 team, than to get an unexcited P5 team from a thousand miles away.
