So he's worn it since the initial injury in the Iowa (?) game.  I'm wondering, is it his knee is still not 100% and if it requires some surgery/rehab in the off season, or if it's just there for precaution?  It doesn't seem to be hindering his movement any.  Thoughts?

Little known fact, but they had to amputate Mason's leg below the knee at halftime of the Iowa game.  That is the contraption that attaches his prosthetic leg.  They disguised it to look like a brace.  Tough son of a gun.

Hmmmmmm.  Good mobility for having 1-1/2 legs.

Speaking of, did anyone watch the 30 for 30 on him?  Crazy stuff.

Maybe Mason got the brace from his grandma?

They don't have a Native American version, oh well.

Pretty standard now for quarterbacks to wear knee braces on their left knee (or right knee if they're left handed). Maybe he didn't before the injury, but they may very well just have Fine wear a knee brace the rest of his career now.

Never understood (if $ wasn't an issue) why you wouldn't brace up their plant leg.

Maybe player preference? But I think after an injury it is no longer a choice of preference.

If I'm investing that kind of $$ into a kid on scholarship forget your preference.  We're gunna protect our investment, you figure a way to make it work.  IMO.

Never thought about it, but makes sense.  Good answer, thanks.
