I’m sure some of y’all have already seen this video from the 2002 New Orleans Bowl, but thought I would post it for some of the younger fans and students. Gives a good overview of the pre-game festivities of the day (which look even cooler this year) and highlights a killer performance from the Mean Green on game day that year. All with amazing early 2000’s production values!!!

You can see from the crowd shots in the Superdome that we brought a good group of fans with us. It was like that every year, four years in a row. Those games were played mid week not a weekend.

The pre and post game parties are not to be missed. That year after the game, it got so rowdy on Bourbon St late night that the police shut down Bourbon.

If you’re on the fence about going and wondering if the effort is worth it, hopefully this video will tip the scales. I promise you (ESPECIALLY STUDENTS) that you don’t want to miss out.

Win or lose the game - North Texas fans are undefeated in partying. I expect that streak to continue!

I used to have a screenshot from the security cam at the Cat's Meow of DD and his team on the stage karaoking after the game.

I am sure it is on some external HDD floating around my attic.

Those were some great memories.   Thanks for posting them.   I really thought we had it going ........but then the bottom dropped out.    Maybe this time will be different.  Let's hope so.
