Interesting how things change from spring to fall.

Lawrence (32) looked pretty steady but it was Kam Duhon who was catching everything thrown to him. Come the fall and he disappeared. He should have kept his spring #(27, worn by the legendary John Love) instead of switching to 89.  Guyton looked like someone with good "potential" but so did Jackson (#13) who is. bigger and taller and went after the ball like Guyton.

Lots of talent coming back. And who knows who will be emerging as the next star next spring.

We need more consistent threats from other receivers. Bussey and Lawrence are nice, but they're not true studs like Guyton is. I'm hoping Greg White will come in after a redshirt season and tear it up next year. He looked damn good every time I saw him.

I would not call him a stud. He had some great games early in the season, but “studs” find ways to make plays. When you look at consistency Bussey and Lawrence are goto guys.

It is hard to make an all conference with 14 teams in the league.  The accolades are usually slanted toward the victors.  In this case FAU, with NT back in the pack as far as the all conference teams.  FAU was very good relative to the rest of the conference, but do they really have 3 of the best 5 offensive lineman in the league?

I think NT lopsided losses to FAU, really killed NT in the all conference selections.  I am surprised that Fine got a well deserved first team.  Moore was robbed, however I really can't argue much about anyone else's position.   Wilson was a better back than Ito Smith, but missing the end of the season was too damaging.

Frankly, and this goes across all sports: I don't think NT gets a lot of respect from their conference mates.   If you look at the various sports and compare records with all conference selections, NT nearly always seems to have lower numbers than one would expect.

Does anyone know what honorable mention even means?  I assume it is either the player was nominated or that they got at least one vote.   Anyway IMO it doesn't mean much.   I had rather they have a third team designation or actually have all division teams in addition to all conference.

I’d argue that Rico Bussey is indeed a stud.  He is a true sophomore who was injured much of last yet look at the clutch catches he has had in his young career. HOD Bowl, UTSA, FAU, etc. The kid will go to the league. Mark the tape.

Bussey, as my adopted player, has had some pretty bad drops this season.   Once he gets that shored up (Don't worry, I plan on playing catch with him in the front yard all summer & work on those hands), I think you may be right!

Think he's been battling some type of injury to his hand.  Constantly see him shaking it and grabbing at it.

Well he's a freak athlete and has great top end speed/jumping ability, but it seems to me his route tree was a bit limited this year. Once teams started rolling a safety over the top, it limited him a lot more than earlier in the season.

Teams were making a more concerted effort in shutting him down. The beauty of the air raid is you can(and should, which is what Fine often did) still throw to the open guys, but you might not get the 75 yard bombs like we did with Guyton in single coverage.

Guyton's biggest issue out of HS what most coaches said he'd have to improve to go to the next level.

Didn't he dislocate a finger earlier in the year.  I seem to remember one of the receivers disclocating a finger and having it popped back into place during one of the games.  Pretty sure it was Bussey.

What? A limited route tree?

Yes most of his HS tape was him running by people, and running slants (I’m pretty sure).

Okay, my boy Moore getting robbed is looking more and more questionable.

How many game-winning, clutch FG's did Shaunfield kick?     0?     Oh OK, yeah, that's better than 2.

10 of the 12 that got honors for us are underclassmen......we have that going for us.....

Yet people on this board are saying that we will not be as good next year or that we are an old team.. Seems to me the ones that are making plays are underclassmen.
