All these rankings are making me feel a bit better... If we end up beating them, maybe it'll help improve the national perception amongst the media which will help us gain some more positive attention going into off-season and into next year. Seems like there is hope after all.

Me'thinks many college sports media types in New York & the East saw some video of the UNT/Army game at Apogee & we got more brownie points & a little respect?  Playing a national team like Army does give a team from Texas a bit more coverage where we usually never get it.

Watch the Army/Navy pre-game national  telecast & don't be surprised to even see a couple of long QB Bradshaw runs from the Apogee turf.

To eventually get Top 25 votes & a ranking getting a few favorable nods from media types up North is never a bad thing.

GMG!

If only Jeff Wilson were healthy for this one I believe that it would deserve such a high ranking.  Nic Smith will be very good in the future but remember he's only a freshman.  So, it looks to be our passing offense against a more balanced offense and a better defense.  Troy's win over LSU alone would make them the favorite.  Still, it should be a fun game.

Agree, always agree, but this deep into the season are they truly still freshmen, Jack?

A lot depends on their size and the number of game minutes, Jim.  Many of the freshmen that play are still undersized and inexperienced compared to upperclassmen and to what they will be in the future.
