again, would you rather not be in a bowl game?  This was a our best option in the minds of our administration from the bowls that we had a invite to.  Simple

Again, like Wren said--teams have a lot less control over these things than we think. Out of their options, this must have been the most appealing. They have more say than anyone else. This reinforced what I thought--CUSA is not getting any P5s and likely will not get any bowls outside of our tie-ins. I don't think anyone in the conference is going to be super stoked about their match-up.

Again, we won 9 games and get Troy. This is as good as it gets for us. We will accept, probably lose, and talk about what a season it was for years. Ill go to NO and drink to much. It will be the same in 20 years. You're right, it's simple.

We've added about 80,000 more alumni since 2004. I would be stunned if we didn't take as many.

Those bowl games where in the middle of the week as well.
