What did Mason say about FAU?

A reporter asked about something Mason said that got some FAU players bent out of shape.  Anyone know what he’s referring to?

FAU didn't need any quotes or newspaper clippings from anyone to get them fired up plus it would  uncharacteristic of Mason Fine to have said anything derogatory about the opposition or anyone for that matter. 

FAU's speed & talent I hope UNT will pattern our future recruiting classes after was all they needed to have yesterday.  It was more than enough.

Brett reported that , "Fine said he expected a different outcome if UNT played its best against the Owls in their second meeting." Somehow they took that as being disrespectful but I think it was more about just believing in his team.

Just the kind of statement that a coach can used to fire up his team.   However, no team should need to be fired up for a championship game, if anything NT should have been sky high to atone for the first debacle. 

FAU was better, had superior players and coaching.  I doubt anyone is going to argue that.

Seriously, I guess that is what the coaches do, look for the smallest thing and hype it up to their players like they are getting disrespected.  From the comments that I have seen, it seemed like what Mason said was pretty tame.  No sense in having to cower down in fear.

I think I read something that FAU was fired up against us the first time around because someone (I guess maybe Mason) said it was a mistake for FAU to schedule us for their homecoming. But that was before our first meeting. Not sure if that same quote was the focus of that question.
