I think that was the Army broadcast they were playing side by side to the interview that showed the record. Dandy Killeen, I am confident, produced that interview and gets it right.

One of our great alums just shared an unbelievable feature from "D Magazine" (just out) about ""GET ON THE MEAN GREEN BANDWAGON NOW!" on my Facebook page with a special highlights video! ➡️ I'm on my IPhone or I'd post it here. ( Baby Boomer computer illiteracy)?

This thing is getting out of control, folks!   You gotta' love it! 😃💚💚👍👍. We all deserve it, especially all you "older" alums.  :)

Bump!  

You gotta see the D Magazine feature & video.  

✅ If one of you can create a new thread on the D Magazine UNT feature & put it on GMG.com  please do so.

Not sure of this magazine's circulation but I see it at Walmart,  doctors offices,  coffee tables at  auto repair places, etc.

We keep all this up & watch for Texas Monthly getting on the Mean Green Bandwagon!

That stat appeared to be shown during the Army game.  Since then we've beat Army and Rice to go to 14-11.

Right you both are.  It never crossed my mind that it was a stat shown  during the Army game.

It was a really good interview that showed the rest of the world what's happening at UNT.

      +1. Or when we actually start winning bowl games. Some of y'all would be loving the Frisco bowl if we were winning big and attendance was filling it up. There's a bit of a chicken-egg argument here when it comes to winning and attendance. Just f'n go. I'm giving you 'til the count of 10 to get y'r ugly, yellow, no-good keester to the games.

      UNT Student-Athletes Boast Increased GSR Rate

      DENTON, Texas – Mean Green student-athletes recorded their ninth consecutive year with a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) above 82 or better with an 84 for the 2016-17 cohort, the NCAA announced Wednesday. Out of UNT’s 12 sport programs, 10 recorded impressive rates above 82. Seven programs improved or maintained their scores from the previous year including football, women’s basketball, soccer, softball, women’s tennis, women’s track and field/cross country along with swim and dive. Women’s basketball tied the program record with a 95. Additionally, football set a new program milestone with an 87. Women’s tennis maintained a perfect 100 for a record ninth year in a row. From the time GSR data collection began with the 1995-98 cohort, UNT has improved from a score of 59 to 84 (25-point increase). The GSR was developed by the NCAA as part of its academic reform initiative to more accurately measure the academic success of Division I student-athletes by better accounting for the many different academic paths followed by today's college students. The NCAA also released the most recent federal graduation rate data in conjunction with the GSR information. The GSR holds institutions accountable for transfer students, whereas the federal graduation rate does not. The GSR also accounts for mid-year enrollees. The NCAA calculates the federal graduation rate for student-athletes because it is the only rate by which to compare student-athletes to the general student body.
