I know.  I just hate the self-relegation into a lesser class of FBS we have done to ourselves (collectively and without a fight).

r/cfb is hilarious. UTSA and ULL have votes so you know... it's not exactly scientific. 

 

It might look like a FCS poll, but these are our peers, like it or not.

We actually get considerable love on r/cfb and the vast majority of the P5 fans on there aren't "SEC! SEC! SEC!" t-shirt wearing douchebags.

 I actually think their top 10 is pretty spot on.  Although as much as it pains me to say SMU is way too low they are a very good team in a very good conference.   I'm not completely sure we are better than SMU.

I know it's just a "fan" poll, but how in the world is Fresno State that far behind Boise State when they just beat them by 11 and have the same record?

What else can you do? The P5s have all the power. They have the networks. They have the eyeballs. They have the legislatures in their states and in DC to cover them.

Its not self-relegation, its the reality that the resources those schools in the P5 have are tremendously higher than ours, from money, to fans, to facilities, and in reputation.

We should aspire to always be in the Top 20 of the G5s. Its a great spot for our program to be, amongst the best that the AAC, MWC, CUSA, MAC, and SBC can offer.
