With Ol Miss's win last night in the egg bowl, the SEC now has 10 bowl eligible teams.

Did the SEC spot in the Independence Bowl just get filled?

Ole Miss isn't bowling this year. Self-imposed bowl ban.

So the Independence Bowl reps were just at Apogee last week because they were interested in seeing a good offensive showdown?

Heard about the Big Scrappy, had to try one.

As I said, I keep reading about HOD and New Mexico Bowl. I am glad the Independence Bowl sent representatives and hope we have an opportunity to play there.  I would think most Bowls try to see as many teams that are on their list as possible, certainly take this as good news. However, I have not read anywhere that either the HOD or New Mexico Bowl have sent scouts to our games, and am not sure what to make of it. Perhaps you have information on this subject that you could share.

Per ESPN

"There is only one bowl with representatives scheduled to be in attendance at tonight's Cal-UCLA game: the Walk-On's Independence Bowl. It's December 27, in Shreveport, La."

California is infatuated with bears apparently: Cal Golden Bears vs UCLA Bruins (bears).

Eagle vs a Bear, who wins?

Took a wrong turn leaving Denton?

Cal loves to play anywhere near Texas Louisiana, could see a North Texas vs cal bear matchup in Shreveport.

UCLA beats CAL, and is bowl eligible.

Now let’s see what happens with FLA-FSU.

I don’t think FLA & UCLA want to play each other given the coaching competition.  We could easily be the other team to slide into  the Independence Bowl.
