As much focus as we've put on Army for playing dirty, being penalized 6 times (most of them personal fouls), and getting away with a lot more, I think we owe it to our own guys to point out how GREAT they've been in the same department!

We were penalized only once last week, and on the season we're getting penalized three less times per game (4.8) than we did last year (7.8).

That's good for 23rd best in the country (we were 117th last year), and is worth applauding both the coaching staff and players for!

I've seen a lot of our guys jawing up to the other team and not doing anything. Especially so with Corners and Receivers. Seems like we are getting in their heads in that regard.

This aspect of improvement can't be highlighted enough.

Even early on this season, drive killing (on offense) and drive extending (on defense) flags were a frustrating issue.  Credit to the staff and players for buttoning things up in a significant way.

After watching they way some of  those kids play I’d not be surprised if we were that kind of out STD’d

Probably a big reason we're 8-3 instead of say, 4-7.  Especially considering how many of our games could have gone either way.

I've been critical of the team for this last season and early in the year this season.

Have to say the improvement is impressive and I was really proud of them for rising above and "out disciplining" a team that has historically been known for that. Our team severely outclassed a military academy last Saturday. Very proud of them. 

Kudos where kudos are due.
