Most white lanyard/ total recruits I've ever seen at a game. Several massive OT types, a JUCO DL Fromm TVCC, a ton of skill kids, a kicker, a QB, a commit (Gibbs) and many more I missed.  May have been 5-10 empty seats total in the team room during the recruiting presentation.

Excellent news. And very smart move by the coaching staff and administration. They knew the environment would be live and they took advantage. This is good marketing and recruiting on their part. Hopefully we start seeing dividends soon.

I wonder if the D-lineman is Marvin Terry. He is from Oak Cliff. We offered out of high school... here is his list from high school. Played both LB and DE.

No idea but JayD said they are looking at mid-term JUCO transfers.. I’m going to guess grades are his problem with him going from a Mizzou Commit to showing up at TVCC

The tough balance with JUCO guys is that the ones who qualify clearly and easily aren't usually the most talented guys on the roster. That isn't to say they can't be, or that some guys just need more time to develop... The reality is Lane Kiffin and Co. are taking all of hte problematic guys with ridiculous offer sheets and finding away to make it work out. I know that's not our style, and i'm fine with that. Would just be nice to land a defensive Guyton-level guy to anchor the defense. (Also, I think if Bryce was healthy and we could have moved Rod to DE like we planned, this defense hums)

JayD posted he thinks the Vada King was due to grades.. if this kid is a mid-term Guy then UNT should be all over him, if not a blue-shirt offer should be extended

Don't think this coaching staff (and many others) will touch Terry. Very talented player though.

I'm told he has matured and turned his life around

Got a good feeling about 2019. That's the class that should really see a jump in head to head recruiting battles and caliber of recruits. I expect 2018 to be similar to 2016/2017 in the sense that we wait to snatch up those Jaelon Darden/Greg White/Nick Smith types at the end. The guys who are currently uncommitted and are left with their offers dried up after the early signing period comes and goes.

Seems to have worked pretty well. Then 2019 can be a more impressive crop of early commits and signees, coupled with our opportunistic recruiting at the end. That would set us up great long-term.

Any word on the lineman from Sweetwater.  I love that guy he made the horse look small.

If you're talking about who I think you are (the guy who made his decision video by shooting things?), then IIRC he chose Army.

Yep. He is also a LB out of Seminole.

What are the right places saying then?

They have 5 to 8 scholly left. In about a week there could be more than 20 FBS openings with less than 3 weeks until early signing day. Alot of dominoes to fall. Be patient. Trust the staff. They are in on some BIG names... Staff is not going to just throw a bunch of offers to 2 stars guys just to fell spots for 247 rankings (Texas State) thinking bigger picture...they have a HUGE OV slate week after conference championship game.

Love to hear that! Still wanting Dove and Rucker from Ryan, and Fowler and Bradford-Thomas at DE/LB..

How “BIG” of names are we talking here? Big as in lots of offers or P5 offers, big as in low, mid, or high 3 stars, or big as in great tape? Throw a dog a bone pls.
