Shameless plug, if you can make it to the Star Thursday night we will need as many people screaming for the Black and Gold of TC as possible.  Trying to take down our second top 10 team in the state this year.  Game starts at 7 pm and tickets are $10.

Damn it! I️ hate to hear that. Do you know how bad?

I know it required surgery, crutches etc. Somewhere between meniscus and acl... gut says ACL but no confirmation.

That is sad.
Unfortunately, I would not be surprised to see him "decommit" sometime before signing day.  It's the way the game is played.
If we keep our offer out there, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

I believe that, I've just seen that kind of thing happen before, sadly.
Many times, UNT is the beneficiary.   Zach Orr immediately comes to mind:
All-State guy getting looks from big12 schools... gets injured, and falls in UNT's lap due to all of his interest drying up after his injury.

Totally different injury for OL guy than any other position.

Yeah and the kid spouts green on his social media. Spoon had a similar thing last year. I expect it to stick.

Why would he decommit?

“Decommit” (in quotes) after the staff stops communicating with him & offers someone else because they’re spooked regarding his injury.  Happens often in the recruiting world.

But some knowledgeable dudes here are saying that type of injury is not as concerning for OL prospects, so he’s probably still good.
