CBS Ranking

We are still behind UTSA, Southern Miss, UAB, and La Tech.  We have head to head wins over all of them, a better conference record than all of them, and a better overall record than everyone except UAB (also 6-3).  We are the lowest ranked bowl eligible team.   I do not understand.  https://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/cbs-poll

Apparently we won’t get any love until we mop the floor with a P5 in a bowl game. Just let them keep under estimating us. We will get the last laugh.

2 winning seasons every 10 yrs has reared its ugly head again with our favorite college. When it's 8 winning seasons every 10 hrs that will almost cure cancer for us.

This will not be updated until Monday around 10:30 AM. Wait until then to see what our ranking will be.

Ok.  Thats better.  It shows our updated record and says “updated as of November 5th” but tomorrow makes more sense.  Interested to see what shows up tomorrow.

Realtimerpi has us as #46, well ahead of UAB, Southern Miss, LaTech and...the hell.  There's some other school in our conference, but I keep forgetting their name.  Alamo middle school or something like that?

Sagarin has us at #109, behind UTSA (98), LA Tech (99), and Southern Miss (108).  They also rank the conference divisions.  CUSA-West is second to the worst at #19 (just ahead of the Sun Belt).  Of note, they rank the Missouri Valley FCS conference ahead of ours at #15.  Jeez.

Your guess is as good as mine.    I always thought it was "Extra Crispy", but then someone showed me it was "U. T.", so one of them is wrong.

CBS has a very heavy weight on preseason expert ranking.  Experts ranked us terribly so it is more or less impossible to crawl out of that unless we go undefeated.  Sagarin not only has that but so heavily weights SOS that the CFB playoff decided to remove it from their system.

RealtimeRPI is prob the best automated ranking out there right now, and even it has flaws.

Note that we had the third highest jump this week in the top 50 at +13, only behind West Virginia (+17) and Florida State (+14). You'll also note that Florida State jump still puts them behind us by three spots...

Our losses don’t look too terrible. All teams we lost to are right around the top 40 in the nation according to these rankings.

SDSU will be tough opponent maybe the best we have played all year.  They have beat some pac 10 schools. Rocky Long's teams are usually pretty physical.

Ranked #70 now.  Only team above us that I take issue with is UAB.

SDSU #34,FAU #36,Army #38,FIU #66, and UNT #70. It would help if we beat Army, but even if FIU beats FAU I don't think we can catch either one.
