QB Depth and Overall Roster Depth

I saw that Mitch Cason and Delvin Isadore are no longer listed on the Mean Green Roster.  Does anyone know why these QB’s are gone?   Not taking into account talent, it looks like we have plenty of underclassmen depth at most positions.  Am I wrong or are there other positions that lack depth like our QB position does?

Cason had to retire due to shoulder issues and Isadore and the staff decided to mutually part ways due to lack of playing time.

I guess QB is worrysome since all it takes is two injuries and we have to rip off a redhirt off freshman Cade Pearson. Not sure anymore what O'Haras situation is.

However, personally I think we are thinner at other positions when we are looking at actual quality in the second and third string, particularly LB comes to mind.

Losing two walkons who never played a snap and were never in a position to doesn't really do anything to our depth. We'll have Fine as a junior next year with Shanbour as a RS SR and Pearson as a RS FR competing for the backup spot, as well as two incoming freshmen in Bean and Martin.

As for immediate depth, it's Fine and Shanbour for the rest of the year and if both were to get injured somehow they'd go to Pearson like they probably would have if Isadore and Cason were still here. Then they could redshirt him again next year if they wanted to, with Fine and Shanbour returning.

O'Hara was away from the team before the season even started

You can only redshirt one year without an injury waiver,  if you are talking about Pearson.  Actually I just would like a body at QB to take a few snaps if Fine and Shanbor go down.

Technically, Pearson hasn't used his redshirt yet.  He won't be eligible to receive a redshirt until the season is over and if he has not played.

I'm just saying in the instance that they had to burn his shirt this year they could redshirt him next year since the guys ahead of him, Fine & Shanbour, will both be back.

Well, we are about 18 injuries away until SL looks up to the stands, points to me, and tells me to put on a jersey for me to take the team on the game winning drive at the CUSA championship game.  Which we do, of course.
