Did I just hear right?

I'm watching the WKU-NMSU game and the announcer said only the top 2 teams from each division and the next 4 teams get to go to the conference tourney.... Is that right? If so, how long have they been doing this, I thought everyone went?

I believe this is the first year they are doing this. In previous years it has been everybody into the tournament. A good start would be getting a high seed in that tourney.

It really puts an emphasis on the home school to make the tourney. Bowling Green might be okay anyways, because they're basketball nuts there, but in a few years when we host it- if we don't make the tourney there'll be about 70 folks in the Superpit.

As I watch the game, I offer the following observations:

1- Officials letting a lot go with no call.

2- WKU doesn't look that good

3- HOW DID NMSU BEAT US???

I was thinking the same thing.. also, the stadium looks really big on tv.... no where near that big in real life
