The more I read about Williams, the more I'm reminded of Fine last year.  Especially here:

Quote

he went in the game in the third quarter of a blowout loss to North Carolina and began slinging the ball over the field.

The entire team was energized. He made his first start the next week

Do y'all remember the immediate impact Fine had on his teammates when he came in VS SMU?

That said, this dude is 17 yrs old, going against a Reffet-coached defense that disguises blitzes SO WELL.   If their OL has a weak spot, this dude is in serious trouble, as I doubt he has the poise/maturity to watch his routes develop while not knowing where pressure is coming from.

So well it's like they're not even playing defense at all!

On 3rd down, yeah, can't disagree.

If you're referencing FAU... again...  I ain't going there... again. (hint: EFFORT)

Otherwise, most of the other defensive miscues have been on the players.  He can't make the guys execute the plays called.  He has to call them in faith that his players will do their jobs, and not try to be heroes.  This has proven to be an issue.

Nah I’m just referencing all season when they’re giving up 35+ a game. Defense has been bad all season
