Good analysis. "UNT has some work to do defensively," has to be one of the larger understatements of you've ever written. But I agree totally with "It's one game. It was a tough game, but it's still just one game."

I believe the team goes as Wilson goes, but I also think they abandon getting the ball to Wilson too soon. I mean if they are stopping you from handing it off to him then get him moving towards the sideline and throw to him so he can operate in space. That's just basically a long hand off. Then increase the short underneath passing game to loosen up the defense

Maybe it's just my perception, but when the team goes as Wilson goes it seems to be because we keep trying to pound him up the middle when there hasn't been any daylight there all game.  Occasionally he'll pop one through the middle, but he generally has better success when we get him to the outside where he can use his speed to turn the corner or his vision to cut back against the grain.   When we open holes up the middle and he's able to hit second gear it's a beautiful thing, but it's not like our OL is able to open holes at will against every team we play.  It just seems like we insist on forcing an issue that doesn't always work.  Maybe it's a throw-away down to keep the defense honest, but we really can't afford any of those.

I agree with every word. He is better if he can get the edge.
