Lane Kiffin and FAU host North Texas in Conference USA showdown

Conference USA East Division leader Florida Atlantic (3-3, 2-0 in Conference USA) comes off its bye week Saturay night for a showdown with C-USA West leader North Texas (4-2, 3-0) at FAU Stadium.

With a win, FAU will have four wins in a single season for the first time since 2013, when the Owls finished 6-6. Under new head coach Lane Kiffin, the Owls are in a position to compete for a C-USA championship if their offense continues to dominate and their defense forces more turnovers.

They feel good about the way they played the last couple of weeks in those games, but this is obviously the best conference team we have played so far,” Kiffin said this week. “Arguably, the best team in the conference by the way they are playing now on both sides of the ball. We will have our hands full with that, but we just have to keep getting better”
