Must be the fuzzy math they are teaching now days.  SoMETh loses to UNT, UTSA loses to UNT , Someth beats UTSA and we are ranked lower than UTSA and Someth of them.  Whose on first?

I think I found your fuzzy math issue.

(I'm sorry.  I promise I'm not one of those annoying they're/their/there jerks.  I just saw this and chuckled at it.  Nothing more, nothing less. (And three times equal!)

Makes 0 sense.

I don't understand how a win vs winless baylor ranks them higher than us.

mind = blown

But you are forgetting their wins over Southern and Texas State!

The reranks are bothersome.  We have played 5 FBS teams with a 3-2 record against them.  Four of them are rated higher including the two we beat.  We are not the only ones.  Tulsa beats Houston.  Houston drops 16 places, but Tulsa only gains 3.  Texas barely loses to a top 10 ranked OU,which they shoul, but still dropped 7 places.   Our losses were to the number 28 and 52 ranked teams.  All you can do is shake your head and wonder.

Shhhhh! Didn't you get the word? The media is in cahoots with us on our stealth strategy. Our objective is to be overlooked by every opponent who can read their rankings. Then we've got 'em where we want 'em...

What does English bring to the table? Is he a First Team All-CUSA level player?

based on the anticipation it seems like he is All-SEC

I believe a full year healthy English is.  I don't know how effective he'll be this year, he will need to test out his injury, get back to game speed, and blend in with an already moving system this year.

Did y'all see that last defensive stand (forcing the 3-&-out before The Drive)... Rod Young was back over at DE with Tauaalo in the middle.  Rod then made that key 3rd-down tackle behind the LOS.
I think coach Yellock & coach Reffett REALLY WANT him over there. Regardless of if English is all he's cracked up to be, I think Young is going to be an all-conference guy next year if he can stay at DE.

English looked like a solid player at the spring game causing problems for the OL, which with each passing week the OL is seeming to gel more and more.. Its just a very tiny sample that we have of English, so we have no idea if it was a great performance from him, bad OL day or what..

I think English can be an force because he had multiple p5 offers, on top of his size.. If English can come in and just have half the impact of someone like guyton (who is another p5 transfer), all of us will take it.. English has done a lot just in hyping up the team, helping change that mindset of being a big-time recruit at one time WANTING to be UNT once he got here, and just being a solid guy on/off the field.. This defense rotates its DL as well, so the #s may not be there but the production should be solid, I think/hope.

i agree... if nothing more, having a fresh, big body to rotate in would be fantastic, i don't doubt the kid is good and i am not trying to insult him...

I'm just hoping he comes back to tempered expectations

I'm just glad the team is winning so we're not looking at him to come in and "save the day", just to augment what's already rolling.
