The fumble touchdown

We're there any post game comments about what happened there?  It was not explained by the ref. If UTSA had recovered in the end zone, then why was a replay needed?  Where did the ball end up?

From the TV explanation he broke the plain before the fumble. Otherwise I believe we had clear recovery on the fumble.

The way things were going I was just glad they didn’t say after review that #7 is ejected for targeting. 

I swear I saw the ball land and then roll across the goal line. Not exactly sure what they saw.

I thought the replay was quite clear that he did not break the plane.

It looked to me like we had a guy or two jump on the ball first but they pulled it out in the pile.  We can't let that happen.

From what I saw, he didn't get in... Wheeler tried to pick up the ball & run (for some dumb reason), lunging directly into the pile, where he abruptly fumbled... then a UTSA player recovered in the end zone.

I think that was #16 Hall.  I was surprised Sturm returned.  So much for concussion protocol.

He was definitely messed up laying in the endzone confused as hell as people piled on

Yeah no way Strum passed a concussion test.. he was smashed and was clearly stumbling. Refs should have done something for the sake of that kids health.

i think he fumbled before he crossed the plane, but there wasn't a definitive angle to prove it. had they had a camera sitting on the goal line, pretty sure we would have had the ball

He answered the trainer's questions properly;

 

1) How many colonels have there been?

2) How many recipes do we offer?

3) What sides do we offer?

4) What are our store hours?

 

 

Side note: I offered some KFC to a couple of UTSA trainers who passed by our tailgate yesterday, and they never got the joke.

It was scored as a fumble recovery/TD by an SA O-lineman.

OK, that's an explanation I can buy.  Don't understand why ref didn't say so.
