Show up cranky, pissed and wholly embarrassed from what happened on the Plains. Tech fans were gristly and couldn’t get enough beat down vibes out of them. That Washington State debacle had everyone from Sweetwater to Clovis in the mood to rumble. We need to be seething with get right game fumes all week.

These posts are sobering and true. I would love to see UNT commercials and marketing represent our distinguished alumni. Visualizeextreme professionalism, potent influence. You know that change the world stuff all other universities seem to preach. We are way beyond being just a first generation prep degree. We will always have those success stories but we have professionals working on the world stage.
Some of those billboard students wow.
Who is President Keller? What do we think he believes? How do we think he will position our fine university?

I understand long term, guaranteed contracts for highly sought after coaches with a track record of success at the FBS level. I do, that's the only way to bring in someone with skins on the wall.
However, I don't see why we have to guarantee money to first time (FBS) coaches and coordinators for 5 years. Imagine getting that kind of runway at your job. You can douchebag up for FIVE YEARS, with pay, before suffering any consequences. Is there any precedent for writing in clauses that give the university the option to terminate if certain metrics aren't satisfied? Like you need to get 6 wins by year 2, 8 by year 3, etc?
We are in a new era of college football. At a school like UNT, you are going to lose half your roster each year no matter what, the continuity and 4 year development cycles are over. Its no longer an excuse to say "I need to get my guys in here", that just isn't an issue anymore.
This rebuilt PAC will be the strongest and most valuable G conference, which in turns will lead to earning the 5th auto-bids most years and enhanced media exposure. North Texas would be stupid not to join if offered. Just think of what the AAC will become once they lose the programs and markets the PAC is targeting.
Yes, the 3-3-5 was badly exposed by Tech over and over. Players out of position and biting on QB ball fakes that allowed receivers to run past them and become wide open. It's past time to shelve this defense and try another defensive scheme (and coordinator).
