I can laundry list fifty successful breweries that cater to hipsters.

His comment was regarding the taste of the beer, not the successfulness of the brewery.

Sad to hear they are closing, I did like the Bulletproof beer and can logo but more the fact they supported Denton and UNT.

Is there any other local beer in Denton I could try and hopefully find in San Antonio?

I have found Armadillo in Houston. That’s it unfortunately. I mean Greenbelt is an incredible beer but that’s all I can could ever find there.

Precisely.  Can't rest on your laurels in the 'craft beer' industry.  You always have to be innovative.  That can lead to some great beers.  I thought wundermelon was very good!

But it also inevitably leads to failures because of shoehorning some random ingredients into your beer, as Oldguy was mocking.

I’m speaking more to the layman beer drinker around here, not the Untapp’d obsessives. I don’t know anyone around town, beyond you I suppose, who actually likes any of Audacity’s output.

You need a wider circle of friends.

Shiner Bock

Miller Lite

Ultra

Beyond that it is a taste test in weirdness for me. Then again, I much prefer a good bourbon to a beer at this point in my life.

It’s not in Denton but we do have a UNT alum that owns a brewery in Dallas called Noble Rey. He also opened up a secondary location in the farmers market. Should check it out if you like craft beer or want to support a fellow alum.
