meanwhile, UTA has a record enrollment of 41K.

I wonder how much longer their administration can justify not having a football team. Especially since Texas Wesleyan has restarted theirs.

UTA is a very different sort of university than UNT.  UTA is the commuter school that 30 years ago we all were afraid UNT would become.

In a recent story about their growth, they showed a new 500 room dorm that was being built on campus. Now, that may be their move to get away from the commuter style college that they have always been, or it may be an attempt to provide low cost housing for students who can't afford apartments in the area, in which all real estate prices are rising.

Anyway, I still scratch my head over why the administration doesn't want to look at even a Texas Wesleyan-level football program.

He said UTA, not UTD

Man, you are fast.  I posted that then had second thoughts because I didn't want someone to take it outside of the humor intended.

Where did you end up?  I think I remember you talking about interviewing a year or two ago at a number of universities.

Only 41k? Wikipedia has them listed at 45k...last year. I don't think it would've dropped 4k from last year. But I'm sure they have a pretty significant online population.

University of South Dakota. Not a bad spot, but looking to move up the ladder. Have apps at right now to Oregon,  UC Boulder, UC Denver, FSU, ND, UVA (haha), Clemson, UNeb, Cinci and UTA. All would be a nice move up, some more than others.
