Sad day... many a late nights were spent at this IHOP in college... whether it was to recover from drinking, enjoy unlimited pancakes or watch cars struggle with the stoplight during the rare ice day...

I felt this way when they tore down the Taco Cabana for 35E expansion.   It'll pass in time.
