According to whom?  I don't recall anyone saying this.

We need to stop fighting this. UTSA is a good team. Most likely better than us. I was at the game in SA last year. Until we beat them... we can't act like this.

I know we don't like how well they're doing for how young of a program they are. So let's hope we can get a W in two weeks.

No one is saying they aren't a good team but the article implies that most believe they are the best team in the conference when no one was saying that before the season and I don't think anyone is saying that now.

NT’s defnese continued the strong play

That's it.  Hand over your journalism credentials, young man.  Who's your editor?

But seriously, your stuff is way more entertaining to read than copypasta paragraphs that repeatedly remind us of UNT football futility for each of the past 13 seasons.  Great work.

Second Half Destruction

After Fine’s interception the NT drive chart looks like this:

TD, FG, FG, TD, TD, TD, FG, Punt, END OF GAME.

Loved this part the most.

The article seemed unnecessarily negative against Mason Fine. The opposing coach thought he was a big reason for the UNT win. Other articles indicated he played well. His stats, well, a lot of other QB's/teams would love to have. I just don't see the reason to be so negative about the QB.

He was critical of Mason where he made some mistakes but I don't think @aztecskin was unnecessarily negative against Fine. In his sole interception he should have just thrown the ball away. Fortunately USM couldn't capitalize on the turnover and went 3-and-out but those kinds of mistakes can be a major momentum shifter.

Haha was referring to the Power Rankings that have UTSA number one. I have them at about 4th.

Eh I thought the portions where I mentioned some criticisms were necessary to not seem like I was overly praising and not noticing areas of improvement. If it wasn't clear: I think he played amazingly well and I am excited to see him become even better.

Mason is a very good young QB.  Has the chance to be better than Scott Hall when he is an upper classman.

He made mistakes last night.  Thrice he had pressure right in his face, and he made a desperation throw when he should take the sack or thrown it our of bounds.  It was picked once, bounced of a USM linebacker once, and fell between the USM safeties once.  Those players make those plays and we don't win.

So yes he is, right now, VERY GOOD.  I am INCREDIBLY excited to see him develop.  If he stays healthy and continues to develop I would guess he ends up with bowl rings and makes our hall of fame.  But he isn't perfect yet.   Not even Scott Hall was perfect, and the Pope's refuse to beatify him still hurts.

What excites me about Fine is his improvement from last year to this year and the youth of our receiving corps. I can only imagine what two more years will produce.

Saw the interview with him and he has a good head on his shoulder. He's smart

Most of us were probably thinking LaTech, not us.

Boys, I woke up Sunday morning to a large helping of baked crow and humble pie. I didn't see this win coming, and am very proud of an underdog road win in a tough environment. GO EAGLES [the green ones] !

Ok. I probably just read it wrong. Carry on.
