I think SL would be pretty understanding after that 1st quarter.   We have a 1st quarter like that against UTSA and we aren't winning.

Excuses.. 

SL tells his guys to keep battling and fighting.. giving up 10 minutes into a 60 minute game is inexcusable..

Fans aren't playing the game.  They can bitch and moan, that is what fans do.  

What fans have to do is go to games, donate money, buy tickets.  I do that, I have been doing that since 1996.  

What were you doing in 1996?

I was in 6th grade....I’m referring to the people Who bash SL on a regular basis and have absolutely no knowledge of the game. Hell of a win. You can watch this team and tell it’s miles ahead of previous teams coaches by McCarney. More talent, better offense and speed on d.

So sad you gotta go to that line, but I was in the stands in 1996 as a 5th grader! Sorry had no idea about being a donor then! 

But change the topic from the one I brought up earlier! If SL isn’t giving up and nor is the team, then we shouldn’t.. nor should we “bitch and moan” after 10 minutes! Just shows SL/GH first 10/15 scripted plays were wrong for what USM ended up doing

Langston has done some good as well with this OL from Davis as well

Here comes the I told you so's now, eh?

Tap the brakes a hair,  it's  just one win. Now let's see this run continue into the UTSA game. Anyone remember that Ball St. win during Teflon Todd's final years? How many people came out and started swinging off his nuts again after that win only to be disappointed with another losing streak & losing season?

Sorry but you aren't some sort of emotions Führer.    People get to have their own opinions, especially if they are paying customers.    We don't need gatekeepers keeping people out, we need to welcome everyone.  

I am sorry you are unable to handle people having opinions that differ from your own, but for your own mental health you should get used to it.

Here come the comparison crowd.  Littrell is so far ahead of TD, it isn't close.

      State fans showed up because they rightfully expected to win in this game. If the AD thinks they're going to depend on people to show up just cause NT has a team there, they are dead wrong. There are a few, but there are many many more who will not show up when they don't think their team will win. There are too many obligations and opportunities to devote precious time and money watching a team lose.

      After Morris and Sheffield transferred, how many here were actually expecting to win? Many of us were just hoping TXST didn't handle us like they did UTSA this year or Rice in last year's First Responder Bowl. Sure, it's the head coach's job to have his team ready to play and in position to win regardless of the adversity faced, but it's still incredible the performance Mestemaker had. Tonight was better than any game C. Morris has had since Memphis. Coastal Carolina lost their starting QB to the portal and got dog walked in their bowl game against UTSA in their own building. Yes, the loss increases our bowl futility streak to an active high, and it sucks to lose to an intrastate program in an inferior conference, but that shouldn't take away from Drew's game. The biggest disappointment to me was how badly we were outnumbered by TXST fans. We went from packing the lower level of the Cotton Bowl to being matched ON OUR OWN SIDE. Like our team, our fans also struggle to wear green. However, there should be optimism surrounding next season. Eric made a poor hire with his first DC obviously, but made the tough (but right) call in getting rid of him. Next year's presumed starter will be in his last year of eligibility, so no losing another 4000 yard passed before the bowl game. If we struggle to another 6/7-win season and bowl loss with next year's schedule, I think Eric's seat should be pretty hot again.

      So a lot of you think that NT is not deserving of your valuable fandom. I actually was proud of the team that continue to battle with a completely revamped lineup including a completely untested QB. Yeah and spare me the low expectations accusations that are usually leveled at anyone that dares to not rave and rant about a loss.
