Glad I listened to it on 88.1 here in Seoul. It was good old fashion nostalgia - been around for awhile🙂

In my day, we still had Crown Maekju.  And the soju was...well...it wasn't good.  It was four hundred won a bottle for a reason.

Last time I was there in Pohang we had the drums of cheap Soju and kid napped a couple of ROKMC guys and got them hammered in their dining hall.

Just set a reminder on your phone to cancel it.  It will auto renew otherwise.

Thank you. I saw that, I want to give it a go. Honestly this is a great time for North Texas athletics. The volleyball team is doing awesome, the soccer team is rolling along, and now the football team is picking up momentum. For 10 bucks to watch all three is a pretty good deal.

It's not CUSA.   It's the USM feed.  Each school puts up their own feed that CUSA distributes.

Interesting.

Really no excuse to not use ESPN3 broadcast standards. It does cost more but if you are asking people to pay they should get some value for their money.

I remember trying to watch a game from ULM on the crapfest feed the Sun Belt used to do. One press box camera and every change of possession and timeout they swung the camera toward to scoreboard to give you the scoreboard view if you weren't bent over puking from motion sickness or writhing on the floor in a seizure.

Really should be a 5 camera operation with graphics and announcers coached to not say "We" or "us".

AState does some in-house men's and women's hoops, volleyball and baseball for ESPN3. We pay the production costs and just send the stream to ESPN3. For the men's hoops use a local radio guy (who is annoying because he's a ref whiner) and a former AState hoops coach who has real broadcast experience. Opponent fans hate the play by play guy and generally like the former coach doing color because he can turn off the fandom for 2 hours.

I don't think online self-produced is ever going to be a revenue center but just a cost of doing business like paying for scholarships, full cost of attendance stipends, and hiring academic counselors.

League office asked for this, even distributed some money for it.  Not enough to do the job correctly, but enough to use as seed money that the school could extend.  Some schools did a good job of it.  I've never seen the NT broadcast feed to CUSA, but I have been told it is very, very good.

Other schools did not.  Rice's feed is more or less what your described ULM's feed to be.

Which Rice should be flat ashamed of.  ULM's endowment is about $23 million dollars.  Rice's endowment is over $5 billion.

It's so weird to see a school like Stanford, with its academic prestige, commit so deeply to football while a school like Rice, with its academic prestige, just... doesn't.

Didn't the Dallas Cowboys radio team (Sham & Laufenberg) TV broadcast an Apogee game a few years ago?  One alum tells me yes.
