I received this message from my Daughter-in-law today. I haven't burdened this forum with my family's biggest challenge, but my daughter-in-law's heartfelt request inspired me. Please do what you can for this very worthy cause.

"Two years ago today our lives were forever changed. Being told your child has cancer is a kick in the gut, but we always had hope. Hope our daughter's body would be 100% healed. McKenzie is doing so well. Just because she is doing so well, doesn't mean we still don't worry. After she finishes treatment in January, she will have to have blood work done for several years. We will, no doubt, have anxiety waiting for the blood results each time. McKenzie has come so far and we have faith she will be healed forever. Our eyes have been opened up to so many children and families suffering. We will spend the rest of our lives bringing awareness to Childhood Cancer and we will never take our health for granted. I no longer sweat the small stuff. It's not worth it. There are five days left of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I challenge all of my family and friends to change their profile picture to support Childhood Cancer Awareness for the next five days. Do it for McKenzie. Do it for all of the kids. 🎗💛🎗 Thank you to our friends, families, doctors, nurses and God for carrying us through the past two years."

This is my favorite charity regarding this cause.

Thanks for your indulgence.

As our family has grown "more mature" we all decided against sharing gifts at Christmas and instead have asked our family to give to causes we support.  St. Jude's was the cause my aunt and uncle chose and we have given in their honor and now memory for many years.  A great organization.  If you ever have the opportunity, you should stop in a see their facilities.  Great things are happening there.

And continue prayers for McKenzie's healing and the skills of the medical team assisting her in her treatment.
