This was a schedule that was Charmin soft for this team. As weak as I've ever seen a UNT team face as a FBS squad...and we are 2-2, facing a very strong possibility of no more than a win or two left, which I'm guessing are against Rice and UTEP.

I like SL. I thought he was a solid hire. But he's got a lot of learning to go before any of us can say he's got any chance of being a decent head coach. That 4th down call from our own 45 on the first possession of the 2nd half was just disastrous on every level. That was Dodge-esque. The defense has only one area it can be decent at in a game, which is run defense, but we play in 2017, so we face teams other than Iowa that throw a ton. It's just embarrassing how we cover--again, Dodge-esque.

Fine reminds me so much of Riley Dodge, it's not even funny. Solid mind for the game, just too short...and eventually gets worn down. And Wilson appears to be our Lance Dunbar for this offense...

We won't play another team as bad as UAB this season. Without major adjustments to a team with lots of holes and still short on enough talent, I don't see how we get to 5 wins again. Don't give a shit for any -1s or being called out for negativity. It's the damn truth. And we can't do anything about it because SL has to fix this himself or we have to wait until his contract is absorbable by the AD and the big monied donors. Either way, it ain't looking real good right now for 2017...if he cannot get better recruits here, this thing is a dead duck (still) for another 5 years.

I think you are mistaken. This team let a 2 TD slip away and almost doubled up UAB in stats. UAB is not a start up program. They have players and coaches too. We were 10 point favorites. I don't know what you expect but this is year 2. We will will 6-7 games which compared to 1-11 2 years ago is damn better. I'm not sure what is with unrealistic expectations but you don't go 1-11 and then 10-2 in 2 years. Rice, UTEP, FAU, OD and Army are very winnable games

Before we start calling someone a "dumb fuck" he had lots of merit to his grips. A 10 point fav let a lead slip away in mins and luckily won. Winnable and actually winning are different things. There's not one bit of need for that, especially after a win. But yet again it was a sloppy sloppy game that a more talented team would have taken advantage of. We have miles and miles to improve. I'm not even sure what your point was expect to name call.

I had us at 6 wins at the beginning of the season. No way now. Maybe 4.

UAB is not a bad team... they have been recruiting while not playing and practicing..

I agree about the 4th down call.  You punt there.

Game was a bit Dodge-esque, except UNT would've lost on a missed or blocked FG.

I see 3 "should wins" remaining, and possibly 2 maybes.

We'll see, but tonight was a W.
