Here's a Mac recruit producing for a B12 school after originally signing with UNT. For those who need help remembering him, he signed here as a two star recruit and followed Kevin Patrick to Texas Tech. Patrick is now at NC State.

Eli Howard with a sack fumble for Texas Tech against Houston. Blew past the left tackle and hit former number 1 QB recruit Kyle Allen from behind. Kind of depressing seeing one of our recruits producing for a P5 program. Was also credited with half a sack against Arizona State.

Any thoughts on whether or not he would have produced for us had he stayed? I guess my question really is whether or not our issue has not only been with recruiting but developing, mainly in the strength and conditioning sector and if this is getting better.

He'd provide good depth but we have better on the roster now than Cinco was. Mark Yellock and Mike Nelson are/were much better developers than Kevin Patrick ever was.

Completely agree with you on not dwelling on the past. Just curious about what he would have done with us, if anything. Really have to applaud the guy for taking a leap of faith and transferring to a P5 with no college playing experience here. If I'm not mistaken, he walked on there and it seems to have paid off for now.

It's sort of like Facebook  stalking the hot chick you went out with a few times before she dumped you.  Time to move on until she gets divorced.
