I'm impressed by how they simultaneously gave us too much credit and overhyped their capabilities.

After reading those predictions, I’m reminded of why they’re called the “Blazers”.

Based on the responses here, I figured they were predicting UAB to blow us out.

We ought to win this game relatively easily.  But we ought to have won last year's game at UTEP easily.  UAB may not have a player like that guy from UTEP, but they bring a power running game that has given us problems.  I'm sticking with my prediction of a 40-24 UNT win, but if some of our past problems rear their ugly heads, it could make for an unpleasant outcome.

We better improve on 3rd down or we'll be in trouble.  They will chew up the clock and keep our defense on the field a long time.  I'd like to see us think about 4 down territory a bit more.  Don't be so happy w/ a pooch punt or a crappy FG attempt that will get blocked.  Iowa was very aggressive on 4th down against us.

A power run game, plus a 335 defense bringing blitzes from different places is a recipe for busted plays.  I expect a few busted-play long runs by UAB's RBs.  Hopefully our secondary can recover quickly enough to keep them from the end zone on those long plays.

This is the perfect team for us to play now. We have played two teams with way more talent than us on the road in the last two weeks. This week, we get to enjoy the other side.

We win big this weekend.
