"14 million project includes the demolition, addition of parking spots and new bus transfer station."

14 mil.  That's a lot of money.

Were they talking about saving the sports/athletic plaques on the exterior of Fouts?  Can't remember the actual name for them.

During demolition they should use dynamite and actually collapse the press box. Sell tickets to the show and make back the costs lol.

I tend to agree with tmjerm that there are lots of great memories in the old place.   Plus, I would like one more chance to go in and pee against the wall like in olden times.

They'd miss and hit the Beer Barn.

Resulting in WWIII.

Heck, Fouts is next level construction technology for North Korea and "Rocket Man."

As someone who lives on W Prairie, and whose street is always clogged with parking because the Fouts lot is full on school days... this can't come soon enough.

It won't change a thing.. kids still won't buy pay for a parking permit and the streets will still be way to packed for normal traffic.. but I hope it will fix those pains!

Yep.  In the three and a half years I spent at UNT as a student, I only bought a permit the first semester.  Figured out right quick that it was a total scam.  But I parked over on Oak or Hickory Street.  The closest lot covered by my  permit was a church on Oak Street that was actually farther from my classes than free street parking.

Meanwhile, the new dorm hall by Kerr that's supposed to be open in less than 11 months has not even started construction yet.

That's been fenced off since the start of 2017 as well...
