I wasn't insulting Andrew, but the mere fact that we were reminded 5,000 times they were both from Iowa city.

Andrew is a fine young man, but someone somewhere convienced him his was a FBS level QB, which he was most certainly not.

He should have never been our starting QB.

This all goes back to Dans lack of recruiting.

Correction: this goes back to Dan's relationship with Mr. McNulty.

Actually, the hawkeyes reference a hawk.  The golden finch is the state bird of Iowa.

I have been to iowa on business flew in from Minneapolis on a turbo prop during a snow storm.  We flew into the town where the DC-10 crashed (can't remember the name).  I remember thinking the guy who sold the tickets is the same guy who loaded the bags was probably the only firefighter at the airport and he used a garden hose.  I think the guy also rented cars out.  Not a good place for D10 to crash land.

Eagles also eat hawks.

Eagles (Golden Eagles) have also been trained by Mongolian Herdsmen to kill wolves.

I don't know if Golden Eagles are better suited for the task, or just more trainable than Bald Eagles.

Golden Eagles have always been more common in our area than Bald Eagles, which is why I always thought they would have been a better choice for a mascot than Bald Eagles.

However, considering our tendency to complain about the least little thing, I have recently come to believe that the Harpy Eagle would have been a better choice.

They're also very annoying on occasion, as Jeff Corwin found out.

He's lucky he still had all his scalp after that video segment.
